Galatians 5:25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
I had a dream the other night that shook me a little.
My family was in a few places that were really dirty. Yucky messy. I don’t know if we were in homes or not but places really out of order and a mess.
In these places there were a few men and young men as well. I remember the conversations and things they were speaking about were perverse and filthy.
When I woke up I wanted to shout, “Everyone go clean your house!!!”
But, I believe it was a message to us to look at our lives, families and homes for places that are out of order. Dis-order in the natural is often just a symptom of dis-order in the spirit. 2011 was year of re-ordering things in our lives for 2012 to be a time to move forward. Practically, if the place you live or work is chaos and mess, I would encourage you to clean it up. When my environment is out of order it often reflects an internal dis-order. If your family is not operating in peace and grace toward each other seek help with your life group leader or other leaders. If your finances are out of control and out of order, seek help. If you are allowing sin or immorality into your life do what James 5 says and confess your faults and pray for one another SO THAT you may be HEALED.
Galatians 5
13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh[a]; rather, serve one another humbly in love. 14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”[b] 15 If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.
16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever[c] you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

Excellent blog. I’m sure most of our homes need a spiritual cleaning. I would be good for all of us to clean up our environment from time to time.
