Morgan Griesemer is currently a student at Lee University, Cleveland, TN. She began playing the violin at the age of 12 and fell in love with the instrument. During middle and high school, Morgan played violin with the Chattanooga Youth Symphony for 4 years. When she was a high school junior, Morgan participated in the Ooltewah Junior Miss competition, winning the First Place Talent award with her violin. As a senior in high school, she was privileged to play with the Lee University Chamber Strings. She currently plays violin in the worship band for Awaken Student Ministries, Abba’s House. Morgan began teaching violin at the age of 15 and quickly realized the joy and fun found in sharing musical gifts with others. Since she began teaching in 2005, Morgan has had the opportunity to teach an array of different students, including the concertmaster of the 2008 Chattanooga Youth Etude Orchestra. In 2008-2009, she had the privilege of leading a violin strings program at an inner-city elementary school in Chattanooga. Morgan enjoys worship music and Irish/Celtic fiddling in addition to the traditional classical repertoire.
