Born and raised in upstate New York, John graduated from Lee University in '07 with a BM in Guitar Performance. While attending Lee he toured the US with the Evangelistic Singers, and Campus Chior and was also a part of the Lee University Jazz Band, Pep Band, and Guitar Ensemble. He currently plays with the worship band at First Baptist Cleveland, a Jazz quartet called Downpour, and a rock trio called The Fancy Spaniards. He is also a part of a ministry group called Drawn Out that writes Rock/RnB with a Christian message. John has been teaching guitar at the Academy since the Fall of '06 and is familiar with teaching the following genres: Contemporary Christian, Classical, Jazz, Rock, Blues, Funk, Country.
